CLUBMAN PYO (Pick Your Own set manoeuvres)

The purpose of the Clubman PYO round is to test the competitors ability to perform a pre-defined list of manoeuvres, accurately and with good positioning. The competitor will pick 7 set manoeuvres of there own choice that they consider will impress the judges. These 7 manoeuvres must be quantifiable and recognised manoeuvres.
It is advised that you only use recognised manoeuvres, if the judges cannot define the manoeuvre or do not recognise it the score will be affected.

On the morning of the competition, the competitors will be given a 'Wildcard' manoeuvre from a list off 5 manoeuvres provided by the organisers and include it in the Clubman PYO round.

The wildcard manoeuvre should be performed as the last manoeuvre in the Clubman PYO round.

Therefore, the Clubman PYO round will consist of 8 manoeuvres 7 of which are your own choice and 1 from the 5 provided by the organisers.

The pilot will have a total of 4 minutes to perform the Set Manoeuvre schedule.

Judging: During the Clubman PYO round, the judges will be looking for, accuracy and overall positioning of the manoeuvres. The difficulty of the manoeuvres flown will be taken into account when judging. Higher overall scores will be achieved for simpler manoeuvres perfromed well, than complex manoeuvres performed poorly.

CLUBMAN DIY (Do It Yourself freestyle)

The purpose of the round is to test the competitors ability to create a well-rounded 3D flight of there own creation, that displays the pilots overall 3D capability.

The flight should be 4 minutes in duration.

The flight can be accompanied by music, as this often enhances the visual effect of a flight. Facilities for playing music CDs ONLY will be provided.

Judging: The Clubman DIY round will be judged on 3D capability and general artistic performance.
3D capability looks for what manoeuvres are performed and how well they are performed (Accuracy and Positioning). General performance will be looking at the complete flight, how the individual manoeuvres are linked together, and effective use of the whole flight line including the general choreography.
